Play Time

Linnea loves this little play mat. She loves to bat at the toys and make them rattle. The little lobster is her favorite and she spins him around and around. She is trying her hardest to roll over these days, we think she would have rolled over last night if it weren't for the arch being in the way. She has figured out that when she kicks really hard with her legs, she makes her bouncy seat bounce and all of the toys on it shake. She thinks it is the funniest thing ever. She also is really starting to love riding in the car and spends quite a bit of time looking at herself in the mirror and staring out the window. We look back sometimes and it looks as if she is in deep conversation with herself, complete with little fussy sounds and laughs. It's a huge improvement from screaming bloody murder which was her favorite pastime in the car.

Daddy's Little Girl

So little miss Linnea is definitely a daddy's girl. She gets so excited when he comes home and usually starts "talking" up a storm and does little laughs with lots and lots of smiles.

Yummie Towel

So there is a definite trend in our house these days. Any and every piece of cloth that Linnea comes into contact with she puts in her mouth to suck on, regardless of whether it is her towel, mommy's shirt, or one of her blankets. Quite often we check on her while she's sleeping to find that she has scooted herself over and grabbed a corner of a blanket to put in her mouth. When she was in her carseat the other day we left her burp cloth on her lap and she just loved picking it up, looking at it, and then putting it in her mouth.

Let's Play Dress Up!

So I'm already guilty of playing dress up with Linnea. This little dress she has on was my 1st Christmas dress when I was a girl. She didn't mind posing for me though she spent quite a lot of time trying to stuff the dress in her mouth to suck on.

Long Overdue

It's been forever since we posted, too busy and too many pictures to try to choose from. Love having a digital camera so that we can be free to take as many pictures as we want, but then we run into the problem of having way too many to choose from! Linnea has her first little cold :-( Steph has been sick all week and Linnea decided to develop a little cough. We took her to the doctor and thankfully there is no infection to be found, yes we are definitely over protective first time parents! She's so calm right now we are wondering what happened to our full steam ahead little baby, usually she does everything full force whether it's playing or crying! She is up to 13lbs. 4 oz. and is 23 3/4 in. long. Growing out of everything! We packed away her bassinet and moved her pack n play into our bedroom. She is obsessed with ceiling fans and will stare at them whether they are moving or not. We love to make faces at her and see what face she will make back at us and love all of her talk, it seems like everyday she discovers a new sound that she can make. Her favorite toy is her kick n play, she will spend forever kicking away watching it and while she talks away and wriggles her whole body. Bathtime has become a favorite time for her, she has started kicking her legs around and seeing how much she can splash the water. It's hard to believe that in two weeks she will be three months old!
