It's All About the Feet

It is hard to put the tray on the highchair when little man just wants to hold onto his feet!

They're Back

Linnea and Benjamin were very excited to welcome their great grandparents home from their trip to Mass. Both kids love their grandparents

It's really hard to get everyone smiling at the same time, it's either Linnea or Benjamin not smiling.

Linnea's great aunt Nancy sent along a little gift for her, a cute little purse and headbands. She had fun putting the headbands on her head all at once!

Linnea Feeding Her Baby

We knew sooner or later it was going to happen. Back in February she tried pumping, now she's into nursing her baby. She is a very intense little mommy, she rocks her baby, uses all the little phrases that her mommy uses to shush Benjamin, she burps, diapers, and carries her baby around throughout the entire day. She waits until Benjamin is through nursing and then climbs up in mommy's chair to nurse, sometimes is she tires of waiting for the chair she just plops down on the floor to "feed" her baby.

First Food

May 20th after a whole week of round the clock on the hour feedings, we broke down and fed Benjamin his first taste of food.

Banannas were on the menu and he got to take in a spring football practice while he was snacking. No complaints from him, he likes his newfound culinary delights!

Benjamin's Swing

First time in his baby swing on the new playground. He's a huge fan!

That Sister

so helpful, of course Benjamin wanted a whole bunch of foam from the alphabet puzzle stuffed in his exersaucer!!

and he was lonely and couldn't wait for her to play with him under his activity bars.

Mommy's Day

Why Mother's Day is Mother's Day

No words are necessary.

Benjamin in the Grass

Just a few days shy of 5 months, we had a wonderfully sunny Mother's Day to take pictures.

He loves to suck on, play with his tongue all the time.

He loves to stand up!

Look at that thigh chub!

Linnea Posing

She's in love with the tree. One time when she lost a hair bow, a friend and I searched all over the yard to no avail, later I decided to look once more and right by this tree was the hair bow. Notice the cute little baby in the background, the perspective seems all off so he looks hillarious!

She's just too cute!!!

Frog and Lizard's Soccer Season

It's been awhile since we've featured frog and lizard on the blog and as you can see they have been joined by yet another frog and lizard. Back in January as we were cruising the aisles of Target looking at all the clearance toys, contemplating whether to buy anything Linnea started asking for some very ugly dolls. Mommy tried to deter her from these horrendous dolls with some cute stuffed animals, but it wasn't working she wanted one of those dolls! Now, we don't buy her toys or anything for that matter when she starts asking for things unless it is something we already planned on doing and those ugly dolls will Never be something that will come into our house! Mommy was about to just push on out of the store and let her forget that she wanted something, when Linnea spotted frog and lizard. Mommy didn't see the lizard in the bin of animals, but from her perch in the cart Linnea directed her to a specific green lizard and blue frog. It was love at first sight! Frog and Lizard II went home to meet the originals and they've been playing ever since! They go many places together, but everyonce in awhile the green lizard gets out and explores on his own. He's more adventurous and likes to go the gym with Linnea.

They like riding across the soccer field with Linnea and daddy.

It's a great view from up there.
They really like to hang out on Benjamin's stroller. It's a great place to watch soccer and eat the french fries Linnea likes to feed them.

I Hold Him!

She loves her baby brother and wants to hold him all the time! "Mommy, I hold him!" is then followed up by "you take picture?"

Little Gardener

For Easter, the kids and daddy got mommy some rose bushes and Linnea had lots of fun helping plant them!

Linnea's April

Linnea had a very busy April, we traveled all over and went to quite a few soccer games. She enjoyed kicking a soccer ball around the track and getting water out of the coolers. She is a wonderful little helper to mommy and if Benjamin was crying would run over and tell him "It's ok little man/baby Benjamin, mommy's coming" She likes to help give him his pacifier, blankets, and is known to lob toys into his crib for him to play with. When she wakes up in the morning or from a nap she usually is looking for/asking for her brother right away and if she can't find him, she asks "Where's Benjamin?" She is a very good little mommy to her baby dolls and can be found rocking them, giving them pacis and repeating some of the same phrases her mommy uses to help calm Benjamin down. She's a typical two year old, not afraid to express her likes and dislikes. She amazes us with her memory of past events and her ability to quote most any book that we have read to her. She loves to sing "O Be Careful Little Eyes." We keep falling in love with her every day, and on those days that we aren't quite so in love with her, she manages to melt our hearts even more the next!
Winter hats are a necessary accessory in our house, even if it is in the 80's outside.

She told me she wasn't tired, while we were waiting for grammy and grandpa Citro to come and I look back over to where she had been awake to find her fast asleep.

Showing off one of her new dresses. She loves dresses and getting to wear them to church. Mommy and Daddy both love dressing her up!

Can you find Linnea? We never know where to find her during nap time, she sleeps all over her bed!

Benjamin at 4 months.

Benjamin had a definite preference for his pack n play over his crib. After lots of frustrated tearful nap times, mommy finally figured it out. He would go down for naps for daddy and the reason why was that daddy would put him in the pack n play not the crib! Give him his elephant and lay him in his pack n play and he's smiles and not much of a problem going down for a nap!

This onesie is how Ben found out we were pregnant with Linnea.

Tornado a.ka. Linnea blew through and knocked down his play gym. He's getting used to his crazy sister.

He always seems to bend his head as far back as possible when he sleeps and it gives us a neck ache just thinking about it! He has worn a thin strip of hair off the back of his head from moving his head back and forth while trying to get to sleep.

Left unhitched in a grocery car he will scoot out of his carseat. We pulled him back up into his seat several times and each time he wiggled back down into this position. I guess he liked putting his feet on the metal of the cart.

All smiles while playing, he also likes to scoot himself sideways under this toy. He scoots on his back when he wants to get somewhere.

Climb and Swing

Linnea now has her very own playground in the backyard that her grandpa and daddy put together. She loves to climb and sit up high. She loves to sit on the highest rung, it just makes mommy to nervous to take a picture!

Linnea LOVES to swing!
