Linnea Posing
Frog and Lizard's Soccer Season
It's been awhile since we've featured frog and lizard on the blog and as you can see they have been joined by yet another frog and lizard. Back in January as we were cruising the aisles of Target looking at all the clearance toys, contemplating whether to buy anything Linnea started asking for some very ugly dolls. Mommy tried to deter her from these horrendous dolls with some cute stuffed animals, but it wasn't working she wanted one of those dolls! Now, we don't buy her toys or anything for that matter when she starts asking for things unless it is something we already planned on doing and those ugly dolls will Never be something that will come into our house! Mommy was about to just push on out of the store and let her forget that she wanted something, when Linnea spotted frog and lizard. Mommy didn't see the lizard in the bin of animals, but from her perch in the cart Linnea directed her to a specific green lizard and blue frog. It was love at first sight! Frog and Lizard II went home to meet the originals and they've been playing ever since! They go many places together, but everyonce in awhile the green lizard gets out and explores on his own. He's more adventurous and likes to go the gym with Linnea.
Linnea's April
Linnea had a very busy April, we traveled all over and went to quite a few soccer games. She enjoyed kicking a soccer ball around the track and getting water out of the coolers. She is a wonderful little helper to mommy and if Benjamin was crying would run over and tell him "It's ok little man/baby Benjamin, mommy's coming" She likes to help give him his pacifier, blankets, and is known to lob toys into his crib for him to play with. When she wakes up in the morning or from a nap she usually is looking for/asking for her brother right away and if she can't find him, she asks "Where's Benjamin?" She is a very good little mommy to her baby dolls and can be found rocking them, giving them pacis and repeating some of the same phrases her mommy uses to help calm Benjamin down. She's a typical two year old, not afraid to express her likes and dislikes. She amazes us with her memory of past events and her ability to quote most any book that we have read to her. She loves to sing "O Be Careful Little Eyes." We keep falling in love with her every day, and on those days that we aren't quite so in love with her, she manages to melt our hearts even more the next!
Benjamin at 4 months.
