August

August was a month of changes for us and getting used to a new routine as Ben went back to school and a very full sports schedule.

Linnea started to hold pencils more like a big girl. She loved going to the training room to hang out and received tons of attention from the students. She informed me that "Daddy puts mayonaise of the boys and girls legs to make them feel better!" We think she was trying to say bandaids and was more than likely talking about all the prewrap and tape that she witnessed her daddy using. She is obsessed with stop signs and love to yell stop sign whenever we pulled up to one. She can find them anywhere and was very excited to find one on one of Benjamin's toys. She also decided that she wanted to be potty trained, wore underwear to the gym without incident and then went all day to Ikea without any accidents. That's about where the fun ends and the multiple accidents begin, somedays better than others, and we are just hoping we don't lose our minds! Last but not least she named her first stuffed animal. Jackie, is a little kitty that she loves to carry around, too bad she forgot to tell us just who Jackie was at first! When you have a crying little girl asking where Jackie is and you have no clue what she is talking about it gets rather interesting, especially when you have a little girl that can throw quite a fit when she wants to! When we finally figured out just what she was talking about she gave a look like we should have known all along! Fun, challenging, mind boggling, aggravating life with Linnea.

This little guy started out the month by waving at his mommy and calling on of his grammie's cats "kee." He called his mommy "ma ma" for the first time and has taken to pounding on everything with his fists. He tried to scoot on his hands and knees, gave up and then started working on cruising. He started cruising at his great grandpa and grammy Citro's house, around their round coffee table. It's the first place Linnea ever cruised, something about the height and it being round that our kids love! By the end of the month, he would cruise from his activity table to his exersaucer. Maybe he will just skip crawling all together. He's so cute and such a flirt that he get's his way most of the time and doesn't have to work for much. He fussed and Linnea runs to help him out. He's our little ladies man, he already flirts shamelessy with girls. If a female walks into the room he will try his hardest to get her attention, if that fails then he will turn his attention to any guys that may be in the room, we have so much fun watching him flirt!
