First taste of banana

Linnea's first time eating solids definitely didn't go according to plan, no cute little bib, no preplanned time with much thought to it, instead it was more born out of sheer desparation to keep her from driving her mommy insane. Nursing every 1 1/2 to 2 hours and waking up twice a night to eat was worse than what she was as a newborn, she was on a mega growth spurt that started with her losing over a pound and then progressed for over a week to shorter and shorter amounts of time between feedings. She is now back to at least 3 hours between nursing, is fattening up, and is now sleeping through the night, so now maybe we can get some rest :-) Linnea is a very happy little girl eating her baby food, it's hard to believe that it's been two full weeks of eating for her. She loves eating, rice cereal, bananas, pears, and peas. There hasn't been a thing yet that she has turned her nose up at. She about jumps out of our arms if we show her a spoon or little bowl. Cousin Lydia was drinking water next to her and Linnea kept jumping up and down in her exersaucer smiling and trying to get some water, once daddy came with her sippy cup she swiveled around and excitedly drank. If we run out of food before Linnea is finished she lets us know how impatiently she is waiting for us to refill her little bowl. Now we just have to get daddy to check those hands better before he releases her from her highchair, today we got smushed up peas all over her dress!
