Feeding the Animals

No this is not a staged photo. Linnea is feeding her beloved frog and lizard cheeze-its.
Froggie gets a grape.

How about some pieces of apple!
Yes, we are very happy when we are with frog and lizard.
Frog and lizard are quite the pair and almost always are found hanging out together.
Frog and lizard have now lived in our house for about a month. It all started at Target (yes, I know most of you probably could have guessed that part!) Linnea, and her grammie were pushing around the store waiting on the rest of the family. Grammie found frog and lizard on clearance and thought they might be fun for her grandkids to play with. Linnea like any child wanted to play with them right away and of course her grammie happily let her. What we didn't know is that Linnea had fallen in love with them, so much so that she didn't even want to let us have them for the cashier to scan! Linnea screamed and wailed, something Linnea has never done before. When we go through the check out line, she usually loves to help hand over merchandise to be scanned. The gracious cashier bent over to scan them so that little missie never had to let them go. We held on tight to them all the way to the car, mommy had to convince her to let go long enough so that she could be hitched up and then back to hugging them tight! Linnea fell asleep on the way home clutching frog and lizard, they've been part of our home ever since. We had a little scare the very next week, tragedy struck, frog ran away! We don't know where he went and Linnea spent most of the week asking where frog disappeared to. The house was turned upside down, grammie was phoned in Georgia, her house was searched and no froggie turned up. Who knows where frog went during that time, maybe Katie took him to visit friends, all we know is that he mysteriously showed up one night in the living room and the next morning Linnea had a joyous reunion with her frog and immediately put him with lizard. Frog and lizard love to go to the dr's and take car rides, they can be found many times riding in the baby carriage with baby dolls or tucked in blankets for their naps. They are very well loved by a little girl, she walks around talking about them all the time, and we can't help but wonder just how she came to fall in love so very much with a frog and a lizard!
