Isle of Palms

Sunday before we left Charleston, we headed over to Isle of Palms for a walk on the beach. It was windy and cold, but Linnea did not seem to mind it one bit.

Exploring just one of the many types of plant life that had washed up on the beach.

The yellow of this plant was so brilliant.

Linnea carried it for awhile until she realized that she could pick up sea shells to take home.

Benjamin was not so thrilled by the cold wind, he likes it warm, very warm and toasty.

This was an interesting bit of sea life that washed up, some sort of pods that were all connected in a string. Our resident science guy is on the job trying to figure out just what it was.

An attempt at a sibling photo, not very possible when you put two kids down in a giant sandbox. They both love sand, Linnea likes to play in it and Benjamin thinks it is a culinary delight!

The only decent family photo from the whole trip and proof that mommy actually came along.
