We didn't get to go anywhere for our 5th anniversary last year, so this year we snuck away for 3 days to Townsend and left Linnea with her grammie! It rained most of the time we were there so we spent a lot of time driving around enjoying the beautiful scenery and playing games.

While we were in Cades Cove we got to see a bear up close and personal! It ran right in front of the car in front of us and we were able to watch it in the field for a long time. We've seen bear from a distance before, but this was the first time we saw one so close to us!

Ben reserved an awesome room for us, it has a beautiful fieldstone fireplace in the living room. We had more space than we knew what to do with! Our one regret is that we didn't take a picture of all the bubbles, when Ben tried to make a bubble bath for Steph and poured a little too much bubble bath in the tub. We almost flooded the whole suite with bubbles!

We've gotten pretty handy at taking our own pictures too. Sometimes we even set the timer and pose.
Cades Cove - what a wonderful place!!! Rick and I were just there in February/March for his 30th birthday! It was a wonderful trip - we actually stayed in Gatlinburg. We didn't see any bears this past trip but did when we went there on our honeymoon - lots of deer though! :) Glad to see that y'all got away together and enjoyed your time together!
